Clean & Conscious Eating

Being Conscious about what we put in our mouths requires some thought. Many people just eat. My husband and I were raw vegan for 8 years and now we by definition eat mostly vegan and clean. There are people who eat anything they want, smoke, drink and seem healthy and live a long and fulfilled life. I don't think there is anything that works for everyone. My recommendations for pregnancy is to eat 6 small meals preferably mostly fresh uncooked fruits and vegetables, and seeds, eating nuts sparingly. I have taught several seminars on the raw lifestyle, fermented foods like kimchee and sauerkraut. These foods are good for you and they give good bacteria, (pro-biotics) to our bodies. Cooking food kills the very important enzymes that help digest the food and makes our body able to utilize the nutrients better.

The most important thing we can do when it comes to the foods we eat is to love whatever goes into our mouths. If we demonize the food by saying this is bad for me and then eat it anyway it will not be processed in a way that will be healthy for us.
